Do you support the police union's threat to stop carrying their weapons as a result of the arrest of the officer involved in the recent fatal shooting in London?

I do.

Its the same as that marine chap serving a sentence for murder, for shooting the enemy!

and I don't.

If they think they are above the law and protected, who knows what will occur!

Shocked

Yes, all perpetrators should be shot as a matter of course and if the police won't for fear of prosecution, we'll ave to get the army!

But the Army will be in the same position!

Give a man a gun and its that man that has to decide when it is appropriate to use it, and if that man is well enough trained in decision making in such circumstances, then we the public should respect that decision when made!!

I thought Auntie Nicola didn't like dangerous things and wants them banished from our shores?  Scotlands police would be much more effective if they only had rubber truncheons (like that ones you see on the Ann Summers webpage) to apprehend crims with.  Dangerous things are only, well, dangerous, and we can't be having that now!

By your thinking Police Scotland (an oxymoron if ever there was one) should just go as they are a danger in themselves, suggesting to the public that we have a police service. So just do away with the whole lot and get Orkneycadian to buy up all the Anne Summer's rubber truncheons and recruit a whole new set up!

OK, thats the entire stock of Ann Summers rubber truncheons been delivered.  Somewhat surprised to find that some need batteries.  (?)  Assume they must have inbuilt Tazers or something.  The wife took one away for quality control checks, and when I went to check on her she was completely incapacited on her back on the bed, telling the "Big Man up the stairs that she was on her way".  Maybe the power of those tazers need to be turned down a bit.

When are you going to start recruiting. I think you post should be used as a recruiting poster, guaranteed to get a goodly number of people interested!
