So the costs have been totted up, and the councils of Scotland had to stump up £1.7m to cart a stick around the place.

Oh well, that was worth it then.

aye, difference is, this one has replies  Laughing

i thought the bill for gareth gates in Perth was good value, you'd only get a third of his stage time with a performer without a stutter

No be fair there where some road repairs down by Watten the other day. I know this cause on the other side someone whinged  about it what they forgot is tar will preserve your car so it's a good idea to leave it on. Also I drove over a big patch of sticky tar and had the required deep breath, you can't beat the smell of fresh tar

Sorry!   Embarassed  Picked it up from the BBC website and never thought for a minute there would be a posting on e old, defunct org about it too.  In fact, I didn't think there would be any postings on e old defunct org full stop....
