Then again, I have heard of folk claiming they have a V8 when it has less than a 350 in it!  Folk running around with a Rover V8 shoehorned into something thinking they were the dogs dangly bits! Laughing

A Buick 215 made a half decent wiper motor. Had one once, but wasn't overly inspiring.  Guess it was lucky if it made 150 horses, and most of those went on the conversion of petrol into carbon monoxide.

On the upside, it's half the weight of a ford 289 and makes similar power. For a bit more fun add another 50 ponys with 4 barrel and decent manifold (ooh top tip simples).😁

As the saying goes, Theres no replacement for displacement.

If we are going to stay in the EU, they should make it compulsory for V8's to have at least 349 cu.  Anything lower should get demoted to a V6 on the grounds that the pots are simply not big enough.

I have debated this summer making sure I do not fall foul of any such rulings by upgrading to a 378

Alternatively, we could just vote for Trump - I am sure then that even 427's will be deemed a little on the light side.

Oh well, theres hope for you yet, even though you want to drop a sewing machine motor in your rust bucket!  Get youself on Ebay for a crate engine - Go for stupidly low prices over there, and you could probably import as " a sample or a gift"!  Laughing

Nothing less than a 350 now!

Mustangs getting as common as muck here now.  Must be about 4 or 5 of them running around, with another new one sitting at the Ford place.  Rapidly becoming the runaround of choice for hairdressers.

Think you are a bit late on that one.  Every hairdresser over here seems to have one now, and the one at the Ford dealer is a convertible - Apparantly the official definition of a hairdressers car is one that is convertible and has an undersized engine for its looks.  Guess that one ticks both boxes then.....

Maybe there are still a few hairdresses that side of the Firth that still use the TT, the MGF or the Z3 that are looking to replace?

I'm not sure we have any hair dressers over here. Have you been to Wick? Anyway, they don't have to have a Mustang. Actually I am more a Mopar person.
