Reality is the SNP are one of most efficient bunch of political chancers this country has seen for a long time. At the moment they've done an awful lot of tub thumping about how everything can be laid at the feet of Westminster. Should they get fortunate enough to win again and UKIP don't gallop through and steal some of their Thunder then a reckoning will soon to be had. With all the new powers filtering through they will no longer be able to blame Westminster and will have to shoulder the blame when the electorate starts to see how uterly and totally inept they truly are and once out of office they know full well they will be in the dustbin of Politcal parties and disappear into obscurity.

Indeed - they have tapped into a well of discontent and found the message that unites.

Whatever you are, they appear to echo what you think.

In reality I have never seen the like in this country and did not think it could happen in a sober and thoughtful nation noted for its intellectual life.

It requires a scapegoat to blame all your ills upon, and vague soundbites that all can agree with.

The best example that comes to mind is 'Democracy'.

Indy Scotland would be more 'democratic'.

All can agree on that.

But now define it.

You mean
The more free fair society
But considering this is one of the most free democratic countries in the world it makes me wonder what they actually want.

They all know what they want.

They.

It's the others.  They know what they want too.

Some want perma-tanned Socialist heaven.
Others want conscription - the Siol na Gael types are really frightening on that.

Some want to chmpion corporations with lower tax and lots of low paid jobs.

Some want green stuff, no fracking and no UCG.

They all want different things.

And indy will give it to them.

In their dreams

Whatever you want
It's free
It's fair
It's democratic
It's greener
More socially inclusive
We also have a rabbit in a hat and a mock turtle

When you consider its a bit insulting to the electorate to treat them in such a cavalier manner but no doubts the Politcal leaders would say it's not us making these wild promises but activists who have no affiliation to whichever party it is they are purporting to represent.

What has truly gobsmacked me is the sheer ability of so many people to swallow nonsense whole.

Illuminati, the Rothschilds, David Icke, the black nobility- plots to do Scotland down by the evil English.  I've seen it all this last few months.

Unbelievable.

Tin hats should sell well- especially in the winter months,

Oh there are some corkers out there for sure.
Scotland makes a big deal about the amount of inventors and writers it has but it should also see if it can't get world record for the amount of tin hat shazam conspiracy theorists, because I think it must be in with a pretty good chance of lifting that mantle from the Californians.

To paraphrase Lawrence of Arabia...

'So long as the British remain a divided people, so will they be a little people...'

It certainly put pay to a lot of the myths about the SNP and some of the social policies so much for wanting to end inequality you could almost say that they have deliberatey set themselves on a path to inflict inequality on those least able to look after themselves in a push to gain political ground. It makes them and their supporters look even more ridiculous

I notice reading the papers today that there is to be a launch of a new centre right political party to challenge the SNP. It appears in Scotland the Conservative party is considered too toxic to gain any ground but there are sufficient voters out there who agree with less taxation and a decrease in the over burgeoned public sector. It's considered that main stream politics has become so left wing with its policies that many voters feel disenfranchised
