Ooh bargain!

http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mUrnGpieESG9eO2O8D3vToA.jpg

Quicker than pretty much any Italian so called supercar, four seats and a big er..trunk.

Oh it doesn't say, it's a Plymouth GTX, MOPAR madness at it's best.

Wouldn't you like to see that in TESCO's car park? Well.........

A small upgrade I would do, I just noticed it doesn't have power brakes!  Shocked

Well under 20 grand. To put it into context a similar age and condition E-Type for instance, would be nearer £100k. And there are a lot more E-Types around.

This is just for those 'in the know'

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph...torcycles&hash=item1c49be90cd

But this is what someone built with what was left over after someone(else, presumably) built a cool bike †Laughing

And...new cars are no good! †Rolling Eyes

I have never understood double de-clutching.

Can anyone explain - in English please?

usually a requirement in vehicles fitted with non synchromesh gear boxes,

the process involved depressing the clutch to disengage the drive from the gearbox,

then moving the gear lever from, say first gear into neutral,

then release the clutch, then whilst adjusting the throttle depress the clutch †again,

engage second gear,

then release the clutch to engage drive through the gearbox to the road wheels,

all on the move, and away you go!!

It avoids grating of gears, and excessive wear on components.

Hope that helps!!

That sounds like something you would have to practice hard on if you wished to be competent t it.

So when I look at the costume dramas on telly and want one of those ovely big old cars I should pause for thought.

They definitely represent a grown up type of driving that I am not sure I would be able to master.

A bit like dancing really - I cannot do that very well as I fall over my own feet.

I consider myself, as many mortal do, to be a decent driver- but I fear that I am spoiled by syncro-mesh.

It is actually quite pleasing and self satisfying when perfected. Smile

Could be quite painful to listen to until perfected!

And one could be inflicted with white finger after a period of clumsy or botched gear changes Confused
