Ukraine ! Genuine freedom or soviet aggression

Here's another wee gem of a conflict. Boiling away quite happily right on the edge of Europe. To my way of thinking the Crimea was a first round won by Vladimir Putin and his requirement for a warm water port to house the Russian fleet and restore some soviet pride.

Now we have further separatist actions which seem eerily similar to those of the Crimea but with more dramatic consequences ie the loss of civilian aircraft

Soviet aggression if you ask me.

Just what we need, mad vodka fueled ruskies boiling away on the edge of Europe!!

Maybe Phil will have a Napalm, clusterf--kup solution!!!

Leave the Russians alone, let them sort out their business.
It's only because the EU got its meddling paws involved that it's descended into chaos.

Seems like if you leave those Russians alone they try and sneak stuff into your country without your permission. That Vladimir is a very naughty boy whatever will he do next !

Leave them alone to blow hundreds of innocent men, women and children out of the sky with gay abandon?

Well now we've had it all Russian soldiers getting lost and captured and today they go fight wars instead of going on Holiday, interesting place Russia they must think everyone is completely daft

I was reading somewhere that Putin says different things in Russian media and many Russian people like him, agree with his actions and buy T-shirts to prove it.
Is that all propaganda? I always had this idea that the Russians were always mad keen on getting more land for themselves. Could it be that some of the former USSR countries still have some fond memories of the olden days?
Maybe they had a sense of belonging that is now missing as they are still trying to find their way in the world.
It must be strange for older people, even after all these years, I think this because I can't stand change, I don't seem to be able to cope with it at all as I get older. I think it runs in my family.
RagnarRocks

I should see the doctor about that
Having runs in the family doesn't sound quite right  puker

I see that some 1000s of the Russian regular troops that weren't in Ukraine have been seen leaving...... Ukraine.

That's weird!! Could be a dodgy eye witness,, yeah thats what it'll be, must be cos they weren't there!!! Smile

If we really wanted to help Ukraine defend from Russian tanks, we would lend them half a dozen obsolete Tornados rather than a bunch of under armoured cars that might as well be VW buses.

Buzzed again by bombers. Be more impressed if they didn't have propellers. Laughing

Do you think they might have a massive rubber band running the the length or their fuselage ???? Rolling Eyes
