Skye Terrier anyone?

I was reading on the Beeb that Skye terriers are dangerously near extinction with only 44 puppies registered recently. Apparently folk are mad keen on the cross breeds with cob names, eg cockerpoo etc
What's your favourite type of dog?
I love sheepdogs, but have had lots of good old fashioned 'Heinz 57' types over the years.
Jax

I do like a working sheep dog, normally a border collie but the one I have now has some Kelpie in her & Im liking her temprement.

Normally have a German Shepard too but Im not liking the poor back end so have refrained from getting another.

I like all dogs though.

Moi I like Black Labradors might explain why I've got 7 of the pests  Razz

German Shepard. The one we have now is the softest, most dopey. Indeed a disgrace to her breed - Love her to bits though.

Would it be a dreadfully intimate question to ask what your dogs are called?
Mine are Sally, Meg and Shep - all Border Collies and Sally is Mum to the other 2. Sally lives in the house with us, the other 2 have the sheds to look after. We had 9 until a couple of years ago! bedlam.

Does Tarka look like that lovely shiny otter from way back? I love those black labradors.
Years ago I worked for a gundog kennels. It was excellent, pups all over the place and splendid working dogs coming in and out from the toffs round about. The folk that had the kennels used to breed Springers and Labradors. It was a super place to work, lots of dog walking and picking up all the messages the dogs left. Huge job feeding up either end too.
They also took cats and they were good to look after too. Someone would bring a cat in and tell me how it hated everyone except the owner, and it would bite and scratch. I only had one , all the time I was there, that wouldn't be friends.

Tarka is very black very shiney and extremely affectionate
