Game of Thrones

Thought this might be a good wee subject as the series is quite gripping and series five is due to start in February. It's very well made and I love the twists and turns in the plot so you're never quite sure who is going to survive the next episode
MI16

Damn that is a great show.
I have been meaning to read the books, there are supposedly even better.
RagnarRocks

Same here but now I'm watching the shows I feel reading the books would spoil them so I'm going to do it when the series has finished
MI16

I have the audio books downloaded at home.
Never thought about the TV being spoiled by it.
I guess you could read/listen up to the point that the show ended.
The temptation to continue would be too much though.
John Little

Never watched it.

But I hear so many good things I must get it out on love film.
RagnarRocks

Accepting that it's set in a fantasy scenario and has dragons the way it portrays the medieval type world is rather good, plenty of intrigue and no one is safe regardless of how well placed they are in the show, plenty of bizarrely satisfying twists and turns in the plot oh and when someone dies well let's say they can get quite original even with that . Twisted Evil

I have not seen any of the series, but will probably watch it in a one-er in the future,
RagnarRocks

I'd challenge you to sit all 4 series in a one- er without your brain melting like fondue and sliding out of your ears through over excitement  Mad

It gets better sounding the more I here of it, would probably watch it two or three episode at a time.
RagnarRocks

You'd need to watch each episode twice as you'll soon realise how much you missed first time round

Quite a lot of what I watch I have to watch atleast twice, I might have ADD!
John Little

Season 1 is now on my rental list.

I see however that it is an 18 certificate.  I don't know why.

But if it gives herself nightmares there will be an end to it...

I'm sure a man who enjoys history will find some enjoyment from it john
John Little

Frequently multiples as well they seem to enjoy the brothel scenes quite a bit
John Little

My wife is a lady of irreproachable character.

Should I be exposing her to this debauchery?
RagnarRocks

The language can be quite fruity as well but it's all proportionate can't have a hardened killer minding his Ps and Qs
mrsbradey

I'm all in favour of realism, as long as the content is fundamental and not gratuitous, its OK with me.

I'm sure Mrs Little will be OK too John.
