Eh? you were in the shower for that long and you're fingers didn't manage the job? Bet they were all white and wrinkly by then :-)
cait

Quite a well known fact psychopaths and deviants prefer working nights !

What were you doing Mr PC?
About the same time I was feeding some sheep and when I had finished I did the October accounts. The latter job isn't one of my favourites- more of a necessary evil.
Mr P Cannop

i work in the local co-op in spring park

Do you enjoy the work? I hope so . I expect you see quite a lot of folk at work, that wouldn't suit me. I prefer dogs, cattle and sheep. Mind you, you can only have one-sided conversations with animals (unless you've got a howling dog that is) and that's why I like to come on here, it's sort of one-sided but not, in fact it's more multi-sided I suppose!
mrsbradey

Have you not seen the co-op customers susie, (only joking~ adds smiley  Laughing Big Gaz style)!

No I haven't Ada, I used to do all my shopping there but hate it since they altered the whole shop. I've only been in once since and  that was for the Beefeater. In fact, now I've got hold of you, do they still sell it? cos crappy Tesco gave up. Tell me about the custs and the gin, gin, gin, please.
Mr P Cannop

i love my job very much

I think that's splendid, it's lovely to hear someone say so. Plenty folk nowadays seem to be in the wrong job, going by their attitude that is, I've done lots of different jobs over the years and only disliked the pickled onion factory one. They still owe me for a day's work actually, but it was 40 years ago. Oddly enough, I got a goldfish out of it.
Mr P Cannop

been at the co-op now for 10 years

What do you like best about your job MrPC? Do you work with other staff?
I like what I do because there is hardly one day the same as another, but I don't like the unpleasant surprises that Mother Nature throws up occasionally. I also really like being outside most of the time.
Mr P Cannop

yes get to meet lots of customers and work with the other co-op staff

Do you have hobbies or more work for the remainder of your day?

house work and soaps on tv

Well, I'm not a big fan of housework I'm afraid, my grandma will be constantly turning in her grave because of my pathetic attempts!
I'm glad to hear you watch the soaps. The best one I ever watched was years ago, I wonder if you remember it? It was American and was called Soap. I used to think it was hilarious, maybe it wouldn't be now.
I used to like Coronation Street, but fell out with it when Elsie Tanner gave up. I liked her, very down to earth. I also liked Annie and Jack Walker. Annie was like my gran, a real hard nut.
I remember trying to get into watching Crossroads, but that Bennie and Amy Turtle were too unreal. I thought it was pretty poor. The soap I watched most of was Take the High Road, I loved some of the characters and loved to hate Mrs Mack, by heck, she was acidic.
mrsbradey

I really liked soap to, was it the Campbels and the Tate family?  It was quite ridiculous, but really funny.!! Very Happy

I thought Mrs mack was ace too! also Mr Sneddon!! Laughing  Laughing
Mr P Cannop

i like corrie and neighbours
mrsbradey

Corrie, Nah not for me, used to watch a bit of neighbours years back, actually watched episode 1 Rolling Eyes

Glad you didn't use the word evolve as it's quite clear it's something you know who has failed to do....another six fingered stromalyte
Jax

Nope, dont watch soaps, quite happy not to watch overinflated dramas.

The mass population seem to like behaving like they are in a soap and love to create drama in their own lives as a normality. Cant be arsed with that!
cait

the advantage of working evenings is that you get to miss all the soaps. Smile
Mr P Cannop

have you got sky + ??

No he lives in benefits and laughs when he hears about you working nights to support his luxurious lifestyle  Very Happy
ducati

Ha Ha luxury lifestyle!

Semi-retired and doing stuff I want to rather than have to. You won't be paying for me for a few years yet.

It helps that the boss still works very hard.

Of course, I'm English too so I've always had all the advantages. Laughing

i always knew there were some good english around.  Very Happy

i haven't thought about being semi-retired when the time comes. i'd always assumed it would be one or the other. interesting thought..
susie

Being self-employed makes it a little easier to change your pace as you get nearer knackeredness. You can slow down a little at a time or just take it easier a couple of days a week. You can also speed back up if you eat something that gives you extra energy. We keep a few less cows than we used to which lessens the winter work a bit. Cows are time consuming when they are in the sheds. We keep a few more sheep to make up the difference. It's worth looking at being self-employed, but you do need to consider it carefully as you have to be strict with yourself.
RagnarRocks

I'm quite happy sitting in my fat English arse knowing that wee cait is having to work nights and pay the state to keep me in my life of luxury, it's not often I get such a sense of well being but this time I'm going to enjoy it to the max.

Why work when caits out there doing it all for me !

Keep up the good work my next dollop of money is due Monday so best you do a few extra hours as I will be down the office to see what else I can claim for, just to ensure I'm getting the most from your labours  Very Happy

Is it possible for cait to do some extra hours for me too, as I'll probably only work half the week next week, hope that doesn't mess with your arse sitting schedule too much rags!!
RagnarRocks

I actually think it's perfectly fair for him to do double shifts and support both of us. Although a few extra shifts might not go amiss as I've just ordered my Christmas goose and some lobsters
