Interesting to read that the feckless Reckless managed to run a "referendum" in his constituency to canvass the opinion of his constituents on EU membership.  All without the palaver that surrounded the Scottish neverendum, and probably at a tiny fraction of the cost.

Oh, and 80% of his respondents wanted to give the finger to Brussels.  His turn out was not exactly high though....

Why should the fact he photographed his privates, and sent to anyone, effect the way he works? presumably the reporter was a consenting adult, whom i would imagine coaxed him to send a picture or pictures of his knob etc!!!

I'm not sure if 'THAT' newspaper employs adults, unless they're foreigners, much of what they print is senseless shite.
It doesn't seem right , to me, that journalists are allowed to 'pose' as someone or something when they're trying to fiil blank columns in a paper. MPs are only human, we all make mistakes, of course he could still do his job and it's time for the'establishment' to lighten up and move into the real world where we all do daft stuff.

So Reckless has 'crossed the floor', no, sorry he can't do that as UKIP hasn't got any MP's!.

In the last General Election there were 572 candidates, and UKIP polled 3.1% with no seats gained.

So have I got this right? if one wants to get out of Europe, then vote next election for UKIP? All they have to do is gain a majority in the House of Commons! Not a hope in hell, but it won't stop quite a few voting for 'em in the vain hope that somehow a miracle will happen and UKIP will romp home with a massive victory and we'll be out of Europe.
Nah, all it'll mean is that those Conservatives casting their vote to UKIP will weaken the Tories and Labour will come flying through between them.
There is going to be an In/out vote with the Conservatives, Labour don't want it. So ain't it basically that if one votes for UKIP it'll be Labour in power and no chance of an exit from EU, whereas vote for cons and there is a hope that getting out may happen.
But Reckless did say "the Prime Minister is offering a vote on EU membership on "rigged terms," based on a "bogus renegotiation followed by a loaded referendum". Gosh!
Although methinks that Cameron may have underestimated the dept of feeling by the UK populace to actually get out - no doubt he thought that by letting the EU know that there WAS a possibility of exiting that the EU would fall over themselves to hang onto us? nothing yet it seems.. "
Be a laugh when that by-election comes round on October 9th and Reckless stands as UKIP, and some unknown Tory gets elected! (Well they did have near 10,000 majority in 2010).

The best it can do is make those aspiring to be elected in, sit up with a serious offer on a in/out referendum, and the balls to back up what the outcome of that is.

Reality is the general public are quite sick of Europe for the majority even up here in bonnie Scotland UKIP have made inroads. Reality is though unless there's a conservative government we are well and truly stuck with the EU. UKIP a nice idea but not got the clout to win a general election

isn't the previous tory to join ukip still an mp?

i think ukip will do much better in the 2015 election, and there is the ukip fear factor that might push cameron further to the right in order to placate not only his right wing backbenchers but also his more right-leaning tory voters.

it's a complicated game and forage is an expert at playing it.

I think too that the Torys will move further to the right, 'cos of this. But I thought Douglas Carswell resigned his seat and will stand for UKIP at the Clacton by-election on the 9th October, suppose he does not represent his constituents? So basically he's not a UKIP MP?

Well, he got voted in, whoever he represents.  UKIPs first MP.

More revealing is UKIPs very close second in the previously safe labour seat of Heywood and Middleton.

The strange thing is I've been a lifelong Conservative suporter and I know that the views expressed by UKIP and derised by the left in politics, actually reflects what you hear every day in factories, building sites and taxis across the land. Talk about being disconected from your voters Mr Milliband (if that is your real name).
