Yes.
Should they have gone ahead with all that rain and standing water?

Hoping for good news too!

Formula one must one of the safest forms of motor sport now, I remember in the seventies it seemed to be this kind of news (usually worse) every second weekend!

Thinking good thoughts

The drivers where pushing to get going when they were following the pace car at the start. They will make the judgement to race or not.

The truth is, it is an all weather sport.

Let's hope he recovers well but at the same time the reason they are paid so much is it used to be a high risk sport and we should never forgot that issue.

From when I was marshalling (it may have been updated)

Waved yellow flag at a sector, double waved yellow, pace car or full course yellow.

Rules are: Reduce speed from race speed. No passing. Be aware of hazards and be prepared to stop.

The pace car was deployed following Sutil's accident (or it may have already been out) so they could recover his car. I don't think the organisers or marshalling of the event can be criticised, it was an unusual (not unique) incident as far as I can see.

If anything it shows what a great and often hazardous job the marshals do.

The marshals don't get paid BTW, if lucky they will get lunch.

Not much change in his condition, but at least it is being described as stable!

His injury does sound similar to that which Michael Schumacher suffered last Dec, he seems to be recovering now, but its not fast. So there is hope for Jules yet.
